Is it logical to do a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and then specialize in aerospace?

i was initially planning to do the bachelors itself in aerospace and then continuing onwards for a masters but have now decided to pursue mechanical engineering to keep my options open just in case i change my mind. does this seem like a good idea?
