Should I refrigerate these freshly baked muffins?

I just made some muffins for when I see my boyfriend at around 3:30pm. It's 5:45am right now and they are already cooled after having taken them out of the oven about an hour ago. Should I refrigerate them? Or should I leave them out, with the plastic wrap that is on them? What would a baker do??
