Boyfriend not really talking to me like he used to? want an idea why..(read more)?

i was in love with this since decemeber 2009, but in feb 2010 we were forced to stop speaking as my family were not happy about us talking. (long story - doesnt matter) anyway, we sttarted talking again last october and i had been in love with him from the period onwards from february. recently i have got myself to fall out of love with him to stop myself hurting as he has been interested in other women and we were more like best friends so i would give him advice on these other girls, however a few weeks ago he told me that "i was not acting like the girl he loved" which was very out of the blue - suggesting he loved me, at the time he had a gf. he has cheated on me with every gf he has had (im sorry - but its hard to resist the guy youre in love with) but he told me he wanted to give "us" a go, and after me persisitng for a few days i didnt want to ruin our friendship we met up and decided to go out. however its 2 weeks later and we are at an awkward stage. something that has never happened before. he isnt talking to me. like i just logged into msn and he would normally be the first to talk saying "boo =]" or something simalar..but nothing. im scared that ive let him down and now hes regetting asking me out:S! is it normal to be a bit awkward. we have done everything but sex but we had done most of it before we were going out and i feel comfortable enough to do that with him caus eof our close friendship. anyway its not about sexual stuff, im asking what i should do. leave it and hope it becomes less "awkward" or do something about it. whenever i ask him, he says he didnt realise i was online or he is tired and not wanting to talk ? HELP!
